About Us

AristoCatMeow

Welcome to the wonderful world of Golden, Silver, and Chocolate kittens!

My name is Elena. My family adores cats. When we moved to Tennessee into a new 3 floor house with 5 acres of land, we were able to fulfill our dream goal – to breed cats of the highest quality and amazing temperament.

We are a small TICA registered cattery in Chattanooga, TN (ID 108514). All of our breeders come from well-known European Champion bloodline. Our goal is to produce healthy and loving kittens with warm personalities so that they can be easily integrated into your family as new lovely family members.

In AristoCatMeow Cattery we have gorgeous British Golden Kittens, short and long hair, with round faces, emerald eyes, big cheeks, and super soft velvety furs.  We also have Scottish Straight and Fold Silver Kittens with beautiful bright blue eyes and luxurious silky white furs. Our kittens are playful, affectionate, gentle and have fantastic personalities.

Both, our cats and beautiful kittens live with us as a part of our happy family surrounded by affection, love and care. Our kitties don’t live in cages – they are free to play and roam about our home.  We dedicate lots of time and attention to our kittens. They sleep and cuddle with us. By the time kittens move to a new home they socialize with kids very well.

Our breeding ethics is ‘To breed only the best, most beautiful and healthy cats’.

What makes British cats unique?

British cats have several distinctive features that set them apart:

  • Luxurious Plush Coat: Their most striking feature is their thick, dense double coat. It's short but incredibly soft and plush, earning them nicknames like "teddy bear cat." While short, it requires regular brushing to maintain its shine and prevent matting.
  • Stocky Build: These are medium-to-large cats with a muscular build and a broad chest. Their sturdy bodies give them a powerful and imposing presence, despite their gentle nature.
  • Adorable Round Features: Large, round eyes and chubby cheeks contribute to their undeniable charm.
What is the personality of a British cat?

British cats are known for their endearing temperament:

  • Gentle and Easygoing: These are calm and mellow cats who prefer a peaceful environment. They are not known for being overly demanding or attention-seeking.
  • Loyal Companions: Despite their independent streak, British cats form strong bonds with their humans and enjoy spending time in their presence. They show affection in their own subtle ways, like gentle head boops or curling up near you.
  • Playful Side: While not as energetic as some breeds, British cats do enjoy playtime, particularly when they are young. Interactive toys and scratching posts can help keep them entertained.
How do I care for a British cat require?

British cats are relatively low-maintenance cats, but they still require basic care:

  • Brushing: Regular brushing (a few times a week) helps remove loose hair and prevent matting.
  • Diet and Hydration: Provide a high-quality diet appropriate for their age and activity level. Fresh water should always be available.
  • Scratching Post: Offer a scratching post to help them maintain their claws and prevent them from scratching furniture.
  • Veterinary Care: Regular checkups are essential for maintaining your cat's health.
Are British cats good with children and other pets?

British cats can be good companions in households with children and other pets due to their:

  • Tolerance: They are known for their tolerant nature and are less likely to be bothered by children's unintentional handling (as long as proper supervision is provided).
  • Adaptability: While they may not actively seek out constant interaction, they can adapt well to living with other pets if proper introductions are made.
Why British cats are considered to be good companions?

British cats offer a unique combination of traits that make them ideal companions:

  • Calm and Undemanding: Their laid-back personality makes them suitable for those who prefer a less demanding feline friend.
  • Loyal and Affectionate: They form strong bonds with their humans and show affection in their own subtle ways.
  • Relatively Low-Maintenance: Their short coat and easygoing nature require less upkeep compared to some other breeds.
Are British cats a good choice for me?

British cats can be wonderful companions, but consider your lifestyle:

  • Enjoy Quiet Time: If you appreciate a peaceful environment, their calm demeanor might be a good fit.
  • Respectful Interactions: Supervise interactions with children to ensure gentle handling.
  • Moderate Grooming Needs: Brushing a few times a week is necessary to maintain their coat.

If you can provide a loving home with these considerations in mind, and adore their plush coat and gentle personality, then a British cat might be the purrfect feline friend for you.

What makes Scottish cats unique?

Scottish cats possess several unique characteristics that contribute to their popularity:

  • Folded Ears: Their most recognizable feature is undoubtedly their folded ears. This charming trait results from a genetic mutation affecting the cartilage throughout their body. The fold creates an adorable owl-like appearance that many find irresistible.

  • Expressive Eyes: Round, expressive eyes add to their overall sweetness and contribute to their captivating presence.
What is the temperament of Scottish cats?

  • Affectionate and Loving: These cats form strong bonds with their humans and shower them with love and cuddles.
